CHARACTER EDUCATION IN THE STORY OF MAJAPAHIT THE WORKS OF NINO OKTORINO

This study aims to identify and describe the value of character education found in the saga of Majapahit by Nino Oktorino as an implementation of learning literature in high school. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive analysis method. The data source in this study is the Majapahit saga by Nino Oktorino. The research instrument was the researcher himself assisted by guidelines for analyzing character education using Zubaedi's theory (2011: 74-76) and interview guidelines. The data collection for this research used the technique of literature study or literature study where the data obtained were in the form of words, phrases, sentences, and narratives contained in the data sources. In this study, the data analysis technique used was four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion stage. The results of this study indicate that the values of character education contained in the Majapahit saga by Nino Oktorino are values of tolerance, national spirit, religion, environmental care, social care, respect for achievement, hard work, and responsibility. These values are part of several values that can be instilled in every human being as a creature of God. Based on the results of this analysis, the value of character education contained in the Majapahit saga by Nino Oktorino is worthy of being used as character education material.References
