AN ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ SPEAKING SKILLS IN INTERACTING AT SMKS TUNAS PELITA BINJAI BY USING SOCIAL MEDIA

Speaking skills are communication using media and internet networks, where thiscommunication does not need to meet directly or face to face with the other person.The students use a lot of speaking skills in communicating with their friends withsocial media such as Instagram. The purpose of this study is to find out howspeaking skills are carried out by teenagers and to find out the use of each featureon Instagram as a communication tool. This research uses communication theoryas the foundation in making this thesis. Informants in this study as many as 10people. The results of this study are that students' speaking skills play a veryimportant role in communicating in the current era, because there are still manystudents who use these speaking skills when communicating. Communication inspeaking skills on Instagram media has many communication features that allowstudents to choose communication through which features. The research methoduses qualitative data collection using interviews and documentation.References
