Abstract

This study aims (1). To analyze the effect of using the geogebra application on the learning outcomes of students on the material of making pie charts (circles) statistics of Tunas Bangsa Private Junior High School and (2). To analyze the answers of students after the use of the geogebra application on the learning outcomes of students on the material of making pie charts (circles) statistics of Tunas Bangsa Private Junior High School. The population of this study were all 129 students of Tunas Bangsa Private Junior High School with a sample of class VIII of 48 students. The instrument used is a learning outcome test, in the form of an essay test with a total of 3 questions. The results showed that (1). There is an effect of using the geogebra application on the learning outcomes of students on the material of making pie charts (circles) statistics of Tunas Bangsa Private Junior High School. With a P-Value smaller than Alpha, namely (0.0000) < 0.05, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted and (2). Students' answers show that there is 1 type of error made by students, namely the error in step 5 by 50%. The cause of students' errors is not careful in determining the circular sector with the center through 2 points. The suggestion expected by the researcher is that with this geogebra application it can improve learning outcomes, but there are shortcomings. For example, in the post-test question, students incorrectly make a circular sector with two center points.
