PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MIND MAPPING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DI SMP SWASTA BUNGA MAWAR

Conventional learning methods used in SMP Swasta Bunga Mawar often make students bored, sleepy, and passive, which has an impact on low motivation and student learning outcomes. The Mind Mapping learning model was chosen as a strategy to overcome this problem because it had never been used before in the school. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method consisting of two cycles, with the independent variable being the Mind Mapping learning model and the dependent variable being student learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII-B of SMP Swasta Bunga Mawar. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes at SMP Swasta Bunga Mawar. The results showed that the application of the Mind Mapping model succeeded in significantly improving student learning outcomes. In cycle I, the average teacher observation results increased from 52.5% with an average of 62.5%. In cycle II, the teacher observation results reached 87.5% with an average of 90%. Observations of students showed an increase with an average of 90.5%. Evaluation of learning outcomes showed an average of 84.41% in cycle II. The percentage of learning completion increased from 44.82% in cycle I to 89.65% in cycle II, which has reached the target set at 75%. The conclusion of this study is that the Mind Mapping learning model is effective in improving the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Swasta Bunga Mawar in Integrated Social Studies subjectsReferences
