Abstract

The problem that occurs at SMP Negeri 1 Alasa, where there are still students who have not completed the integrated social studies subject. This is because conventional learning models such as lectures and assignments are still being implemented. These monotonous activities make students passive towards the learning material given, thus affecting student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the application of the Concept Attainment learning model and learning outcomes in the Integrated Social Studies Subject for Class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Alasa in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) with research material Understanding the Activities of Economic Actors in Society, implementation procedures include Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. The results of the study showed that the average observation results of students who were active in the learning process in cycle I were 45.40% and in cycle II were 87.8%. The average observation results of teachers in cycle I were 56.73% and in cycle II were 91.34. The average student learning outcomes in cycle I of 73.13% are categorized as sufficient, with a completion percentage of 60.8%. The average student learning outcomes in cycle II of 81.47% are categorized as good, with a completion percentage of 86.9%. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that by implementing the Concept Attainment learning model, the learning process is good and the Integrated Social Studies learning outcomes of students at SMP Negeri 1 Alasa in the 2023/2024 academic year have increased.
