PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN TEKNOLOGI TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR MATAPELAJARAN PPKN SISWA KELAS VIII SMP SWASTA YAPEKSI SAWIT SEBERANG

Abstract

This study discusses the effect of using media on increasing the learning achievement of class VIII students of Yapeksi Sawit Seberang Private Middle School in 2014. The research methodology is a correlational study, and the sample in this study is 40 people with a category of 20 people for the experimental class, namely the class using media , and 20 people for the control class, namely the class without using media. The research data is tabulated in the frequency distribution table. Scores of student answers are converted into pure scores using the sigma scale. The pure value of the student's answers is then sought for the Mean, Median and Mode to then analyze the results of the student's learning achievement. The results of data processing on the learning achievement of class VIII students at Yapeksi Sawit Seberang Private Middle School in 2014 obtained a t calculation price of 3.21, so the results of the calculation were confirmed with a t table price with a significant 5%, namely 2.04. To prove the hypothesis is accepted or rejected, a critique list is used by comparing the calculated r price (rh) with the r price from the Product Moment table (rt) with a significance level of 5% and a significance level of 1%. From the calculation results, it is obtained that the price is rxy = 0.61 which belongs to the interpretation criterion of approximately 0.61 – 0.80, which means that the correlation is sufficient. The regression equation obtained is y = 4.39 + 0.43 x There is a significant difference at the significance level a = 5% between the learning outcomes of the media user group and those who do not use graphic media. rxy (rh) is greater than r table (rt), which means that there is an influence between the use of media on students' Indonesian learning achievement.
