STUDI LITERATUR : TATA TERTIB SEKOLAH SEBAGAI SARANA PENDIDIKAN MORAL DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN (SMK)
Abstract
This research aims to study the literature on school rules as a means of moral education in Vocational High Schools (SMK). The problems studied in this research are: (1) How is the implementation of school discipline as a means of moral education in Vocational High School (SMK)?, (2) How are the obstacles faced in the implementation of school discipline as a means of moral education in Vocational High School (SMK)?. The research results from the literature study obtained (1) Several factors affecting the implementation of school discipline in vocational schools include school rules and regulations, the use of a point or reward system, moral education approaches, as well as obstacles and efforts to handle them. School rules and regulations are part of the school discipline in SMK with the aim of creating a conducive learning environment and teaching moral values to students. A point or reward system is used to enforce school rules, where students are given points or rewards based on their discipline and behaviour. Commonly used moral education approaches include indoctrination, value clarification, role modeling, and behavioural habituation. (2) The constraints include lack of consistency in rule enforcement, lack of support from parents, the impact of technological development, differences in students' backgrounds and values, and lack of teacher training and awareness. Lack of consistency in rule enforcement is the main obstacle in creating a moral learning environment. Consistency in enforcing rules and providing appropriate sanctions is needed to strengthen the effectiveness of moral education in schools. In addition, the lack of support from parents can also hinder schools' efforts in implementing effective school rules. Full support from parents is essential in creating a moral learning environment.Downloads
