PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INQUIRY ROLE APPROACH TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS DAN SELF EFFICACY SISWA PADA MATERI BARISAN DAN DERET

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Inquiry Role Approach learning model on students' mathematical reasoning abilities and self efficacy in the sequence and series material at SMK Swasta Harapan Stabat. The research uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach. Data analysis techniques are conducted through descriptive analysis. The research sample consists of class X Accounting 1 as the experimental class (26 students) and class X Accounting 2 as the control class (26 students), selected using simple random sampling. The results of the study showed that the mathematical reasoning ability of students taught with the Inquiry Role Approach model increased by 16.462, from an average value of 66.432 to 82.885. The completeness of each indicator obtained was as follows: determining patterns (84.23%), submitting conjectures (88.08%), manipulating (88.85%), compiling evidence (83.85%), and drawing conclusions (69.42%), the calculation results showed that tcount> ttable, which was 5.233> 2.80. The self-efficacy of students in the experimental class showed that no students were included in the low category (0%). A total of 3 students (11.53%) are in the medium category, while the majority, 23 students (88.46%), are in the high category. Meanwhile, the self efficacy of students in the control class shows that 7 students (26.92%) fall into the low category, 19 students (73.07%) are in the medium category, and none of the students fall into the high category (0%), and there is an effect of the Inquiry Role Approach learning model on students' mathematical reasoning ability in the sequence and series material in class X at SMK Harapan Stabat for the 2024/2025 academic year.
